Don’t forget your thrift shops when looking for your gear. It’s a treasure hunt or a box of chocolates – you never know what you are going to find! I have found wonderful serviceable items some even new that were truly inexpensive and you are usually helping a good cause.
Gotta love wool! It is the way to go! That it continues to insulate after getting wet is certainly a plus.
