Special Forces "A" Camp Manual

This manual is designed to fill the void or gap that exists in most areas of Special Forces Doctrine and Teachings in the area of planning, constructing, and maintaining a Special Forces “A” Camp in both peace and war.

This manual is to be used in conjunction with current U.S. Army and Special Forces doctrine. Assembled in two parts; Part One is devoted to general considerations to be considered for all “A” Camps and Part Two is an example of a Triangular shaped “A” camp for a 200 man force.

It has been designed with the bold “Old” and “New” designs and technology This manual has been assembled from many different resources to include real world experiences involving the actual planning, constructing, and maintenance of a Special Forces “A” Camp.

A large portion of this manual comes from the many years of actual experience on the ground in Southeast Asia by SGM (Retired) Pappy Jones. This manual could not have been possible if it wasn’t for the dedication to duty and desire to “Pass on the Knowledge” in an area that has been neglected for so many years.
