Damascus EDC Defense Tool
The Damascus EDC Defense Tool is a premium version of our regular EDC Defense Tool, but manufactured entirely with a beautiful Damascus steel material. The steel itself is reminiscent of flowing water, while maintaining incredible strength.
Original Damascus steel, named after the capital city of Syria, was developed between the 3rd century to the 17th century. Reportedly, blades made of this material were strong enough to shatter regular swords of the era and slice rifle barrels in half, due to the extraordinary strength that allowed for precision sharpening.
Though the ancient technique to make original Damascus steel has been lost, the modern day reproductions of the material maintain the same strength. In a process that involves folding several types of steel and iron repeatedly, our Damascus Steel EDC Defense Tools echo the legendary durability of those fearsome blades.
We offer the Damascus EDC Defense Tool in two sizes: Regular and XL. We find that Regular will fit most hands, while XL is perfect for those who want some extra length to grip.

Shouldn’t of put the cut outs in
Great item I would say considerable better than the Al
Too small for my index finger to go through the hole. Is there a way you could recommend to enlarge the hole?
As a retired SF guy I always lived by the EDC. I liked the fact that it is not too aggressive but, is a simple force multiplier.
Damascus EDC Defense Tool
Only had it for about two weeks. Can't really tell how it actually performs in its intended roll as a defense tool. Hope to never have to. I bought it as an possible Force Multiplier should that ever happen in a defense scenario or event. It is a solid piece of metal and would seem to definitely get the job done should you square off and impact at the proper angle. The only down side I see so far is the same that previous reviews have stated, the corners could be rounded a little better. They are not sharp enough to cut your hand of course, however could be rounded out for a much smoother grip.
Good, but not without sacrifices compared to the original aluminum ones
This Damascus EDC tool is slightly different than the aluminum ones, with its own pros and cons. First, the shape. The ring section is not as large as the regular EDC tools, which I don't like. The ring on the regular ones were so that the spikey section aligns with boxing punches, not so with the damascus one with a smaller ring. The damascus EDC Tool is about half an inch longer though, which allows the bottom section to extend through the bottom of the fist, which I like. It is heavier than the aluminum one, and would allow heavier strikes, easier bottle opening, more durability, at the cost of weight. You will feel this in your pocket, while the original design will be more comfortable. In my opinion, if they made this closer to the original EDC tool in shape and size, it would be better. They have a large version of the damascus anyway, so larger hands can get that one. Best of both worlds.
