What is Everyday Carry?

Posted on August 21 2018

Everyday carry (EDC) or every-day carry identifies things that are carried on a consistent basis to help in handling regular everyday needs of contemporary society, such as possible emergency situations.

One of the most frequent EDC's are flashlights, knives, kubatons, multitools, wallets, smartphones, notebooks, pens, and survival cards and tools. The type and amount of these item can fluctuate widely depending on your needs.

While often distributed among pockets in everyday clothes, carry options are frequently enlarged by the addition of clothing accessories such as a edc belt, fanny pack, purse, small day pack, bracelets, or even footwear like long boots or a vest with pockets.  The multiple large pockets of shirts make them a popular choice among individuals who take EDC items.
